The way the Ready Motorsports Porsche 718 GT4 RS stands out on a race track with its KI Studios designed racing livery is a testament to the saying that goes, “Less is More.”
It’s no question that a big part of what we do at KI Studios is the creation of bespoke racing liveries for Porsche racing vehicles. While we do encourage Porsche racers to pick one of our pre-designed racing liveries, or one of our Exclusive Series liveries, sometimes a custom design is a must.
The typical case where a custom and unique racing livery is preferred is when the design and colors must perfectly match a corporate sponsor’s branding. This is precisely the case here on our featured vehicle. The car you see here is a Porsche 718 GT4 RS Clubsport. The design is a completely unique, and very much contemporary, KI Studios designed livery for Ready Motorsports.
This is one of those designs that clearly stand out on any race track. The best part is that this design is a magnet for camera lenses. We’re talking about event photographers who’s job is to document race day activities. Designs such as this simply capture the attention of the photographers, which then yields a lot more photos than the other cars. This makes the sponsors happy.
Distribution of color is key in a design like this. If you think about it, it’s only sporting 3 colors not counting the race numbers and car parts in black. However, the distribution of the elements along with the bright blue, orange, and white breaks, makes it appear much more colorful. These are the things that only come with experience in design — Taking something that’s relatively simple, yet making it look larger than life.
